If there is a restriction to suspending an aircard, then there is an easy way to solve that as well. You can convert any aircard line to a voice line and vise versa. (no charge if you have an old handset with unlocked ESN to replace the aircard's ESN with.
Once you have converted the aircard line over to a voice plan, (family share line would be my suggestion so you're only paying $10 for it if they will not suspend the line long enough for your trip), you can then suspend the voice plan without issue. There is a solution to just about everything, you might need to think resourcefully. David& Christina K. '96 volvo WIA MH. I simply made an observation that I thought might be of interest to some people. RJ This message has been edited. Last edited by: rvgolfnuts, |

RJ, sorry if you took my remark as "smart" it was not intended that way. And my life beyond this forum is just fine.

Fact- Verizon charged me $15.00 to suspend my air card for three months and dropped the $59.00 fee I was paying before. When I told them that I might be back before the 3 months were up they said fine. Just call them and they will activate me at once. If you have a two year contract, that contract is extended the extra time while you are on suspension.
Fact... I too was at the Casino RV Park? at the Soo in Michigan and used my Verizon air card the day before the suspension started. I was on a signal from Canada and didn't realize it. When I saw my bill on line, I had $13.00 roaming charges. Verizon reversed those charges as soon as I calle and told them where I had used the air card. Fact... I added North America to my cell phone and pay $20.00 more per month while we are on that plan. We are in Newfoundland and can call home just like we always did without extra charge BUT.. You can not dial an 800 or 877 # from your phone so be sure you have the regular phone # of where ever you are calling.. We use Alternative Resources for our mailing service and I just had their 800 number and couldn't get thru... The same thing here in Canada when I tried to call campgrounds to make reservations.. You also have to be sure to put the 1 before you call anyone in the U.S.A. I know this to be true because I have been using this system for over a month and have recieved my bills on-line already. Everything works great. One Final Fact: I sure do miss my Verizon Air Card and Wilson Antenna. Helen This message has been edited.
