If you have....Have you had it for a while?
Are you still happy with it?
I was happy with my KR1 at first, but then I got the usual problems, like the connection slowing down to a crawl before I got cut off completely and other problems.
I bought the KR1 just shortly before the KR2 was released and I would hate to spend more money if there isn't much improvement.
So, has the KR2 a stronger signal?
I'll appreciate your input. Thanks

Yes I did upgrade fromt the KR1 to the KR2. It was worth it. No more getting dropped signal.
Use it at home with desk top and 2 lap tops. When on the road. We run our 2 lap tops from it.
Right now I am running my lap top in the MH ( MIL driveway) and wife can use her lap top in her mother's house.

Now to find someone too by the old KR1.

The KR2 is a Cradlepoint. So it should have all the benfits of the CP except 1. Customer support.

If your aircard works in a Craqdlepoint MBR 1000 that is the route I would go. JMO.

Thank you for your replies.
I'm looking forward to the KR2 now.
Have to stay with the KR2, because my laptop has the PC card port and don't want to have to buy another air card also.
Again, thanks for your answers!

Hi Jack,
What is the differences between the MBR1000 and the CTR350, that would justify the $100 difference in price in your opinion ?..

Thanks.

Lots. IMO.

More ports. WAN port as well as LAN ports at the same time. N standard. More aircard types. External antennas that are removable/upgradeable.

But if you don't need any of that then it is not worth it.

Jack Are the antennas removable on the MBR1000 ? The owner of wirelessnwifi called me looking for ideas to boost the range of the unit because he said he could not upgrade the antennas. He is the biggest Cradlepoint dealer out there . Figured he would know if they were.

Hmmm, you are right, Gord. They are not removable. You could WDS to another unit to extend the range, though.

Or save a few bucks and get a removable antenna with a CTR500. Will be interesting to see how it works in the field...

Yes the Cyfre Router works with the 5750 . Any of our dual band amplifiers will work with the 5750 . The CA819 kit is a great value and will get the job done for you.
