My experience with Aon has been less than satisfactory. My first surprise came when I received my policy. I was insured with National Interstate Insurance, Aon is only a broker. True frustration came when I filed a claim for a small parking lot fender bender. It took weeks to complete this claim. Frequently, when I called the agent was not available. I would leave a message, but not once did she return my call. The body shop had the same problem when calling for approval on repairs. When repairs were finally completed, I got the “check is in the mail” statement several times before it arrived. Fortunately I was at home. I hate to think how difficult it would have been out on the road. You never know how good your insurance is until you file a claim.

Hi Garth,

I apologize for any dissatisfaction that you have experienced. I have looked into your account and it appears that you have been dealing directly with representatives at National Interstate. We would be more than happy to help you out with your current needs. You can either contact our office at 800-521-2942 or PM me your contact number. As an agent, Aon Recreation is here to assist you any way that we can.

Thanks,

Well I hate to say this but its true, some folks would have a problem with anything.

We have had AON as our agent for 8-9 years and have the Truck, 5TH Wheel and a Umbrella policy, plus Medical Plus with them. They had us with Royal before Royal decided to get out of the RV bussiness. AON very helpfully placed us with Interstate National. We have been with Interstate National for about 5 years. Never ever had a problem with AON and they have been quite helpfull in many instances. Always available for any questions and suggestions.

In 2005 we were struck in the rear of our 5th wheel while we were moving down the road. The damage was over $15,000.00 to our coach(5TH) and the other driver did not have insurance. We delt entirely with Interstate after reporting the accident to AON.

They handled the entire process well. Not to say we didn't have a jillion telephone calls back and forth and of course played "telephone tag" a few times. Interstate paid the entire bill, less our deductable. They took care of our Motel charges and even paid me mileage to take the rig to the factory for repair.

We are happy with both AON and Interstate National.
Its all in how you handle the situation.

Mike

Hi Candy,
Thank you for Aon's 800 number. If I have a future claim do you suggest reporting it to Aon and not directly to Interstate?
Thanks
Garth

No problem Garth. We are available to assist you with any questions you have on your policy or on any changes that you may need to make. Claims are typically handled directly by the insurance companies. However, we do encourage you to contact us anytime that you have a problem or need further explanation. We are always available for you.

Thanks,
