This might be better addressed to the general questions forum but I will try here first.
When actually using a motorhome (I am not yet until the house sells) and parked in an RV park, does the park cover any personal injury to "guests" or "intruders" (depending on attitude) for the area outside the RV but within the borders of the rented spot? If so, would a sign similar to that posted at the service area in your friendly auto dealer stating "Due to insurance issues, only authorized persons allowed" cover the RV owner and not let anyone inside the motorhome without a waiver? |

Not an insurance expert. As to a park's liability, I would think a lot would depend on what hazard caused the slip and fall. The guest's shoe soles were loose and flopping and as a result the guest tripped over his own feet; the rivet on your motorhome's step gave way and the guest fell when your steps collapsed; the underground water pipe springs a leak creating a sinkhole into which your guest, sitting in your chair, falls and investigation shows that the pipe has failed many times and only was patched with some 'glue' are 3 different scenarios which might attach fault to 3 different parties. Of course, your guest's attorney would include both you and the park as defendants in suits involving all three scenarios and it would be up to your attorney, at your expense, to try to defend you.
I'd guess your written notice would provide you about as much protection as the notice posted in a restaurant's coat check room stating that the restaurant has no liability for lost or damaged items etc. Like that is worth the paper it's printed on or would stop an attorney It's pretty easy to replace the liability insurance that you lose when you no longer have a homeowner's policy. It's an umbrella liability policy and they are inexpensive for a great amount of coverage and their attorney can defend you. Now that I've teed it up for the AON folks, they can sell you the policy. You are correct. It is better to be covered for everything than to try to weed out the unnecessary liability traps (if any). Today you can get sued for anything, anytime. I am glad I don't have one of the $$$million rigs. They might be magnets for trip and fall scams.

I believe that is what you will find your full timer insurance policy does, just like your homeowner insurance does on your stick & brick house.
