Has anybody else besides me have trouble with RVer's Notebook using Vista?? I have had many problems since getting a lap top with Vista. I've used RVer's Notebook on my old lap top using XP for about 3 years, NO problem. Now just one problem after another. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced problems with Vista?? Thanks

Yup and no one there can figure it out. I couldn't get it to run...appears to, starts a task I can see in task manager but never.

Uninstalled, reinstalled, Access run-time in, Access run-time out....

Since I have full Access 2003 on my machine, I tried opening that and opening the .MDB file. That works...hokey, but it gets me there.

I have been thinking about buying RV Notebook. I have a new laptop with Vista. I see that RV Notebook is supposed to automatically update. Of course that doesn't mean it does. The latest version is 2.2.4. Is your's 2.2.4 or an earlier version? RV Notebook Update

I am about to get a Dell delivered to me, with Vista on it. I hope I don't get any problems using my software. But, if I do, anyone know if reverse upgrading is possible - I love windows 2000 pro, and have the disks - is it possible to 'upgrade' to that platform without loosing all the drivers?

I wouldn't call that a upgrade. MS doesn't support W 2000 anymore to fix any critical flaws.

They are some that don't like Vista and put XP OS in. It is still supported by MS for a few more years yet.

Have any of you trying to use RVers Notebook in Vista tried the "Program Compatability Wizard" to see if that helped. It is a wizard designed to make some XP programs that don't work in Vista work.

RV Notebook has a 30 day money back guarantee.

You let your time run out? Smile

They claim it's Vista compatible. Give'em a call.

I bought RVer's Notebook and it works on my PC but I can't add any photos (.jpg files) an Access message pops up telling me file format not recognized. The software works fine on another PC. Does antone have any ideas?
Thanks

earlhop, Wild Bill and others...
Do yourself a favor and purchase a copy of Windows XP and install it on your new laptop. Have you heard ANYONE say, "ya, I'm lovin' Vista. It's much better."? I think not. Sorry for the hijack but I couldn't resist.

Okay Mark:

"ya, I'm lovin' Vista. It's much better." I am using Vista Ultimate on a Dell Vostro 1700.

Once I found out where everything moved to, Vista is better. Every piece of software I use, and I use a lot, works with Vista.

The only issue I had was the security popup that took 5 minutes to eliminate.

Enough of the Vista bashing.

I don't like Vista either, still prefer XP. Which is what I have returned to and will stick with for now. Why not bash Vista?

Mark is right. It is wrong to bash Vista. However, I still recommend installing Windows XP on a new machine that cost less than $1000. I know it's not good practice to generalize, but Vista works well on machines with faster processors and LOTS & LOTS of RAM.
But that begs the original question:
Why does RV Notebook have issues with Vista?
