now, I don't know about you, but I've paid hundreds for new eyeglasses.

I think I heard about Zenni Optical here, and ordered a new pair of sunglasses. You need a RX, but mine was 3 years old. Because their prices are so cheap, I decided to go with it. The only spec you may not have is the PD. (pupil distance). Their site explains how to measure this with a ruler.

What did I get? Titanium frames. All the coatings, a single vision correction (for distance) and everything else. These would cost about $500 locally. My cost? $44. (delivered in a hard case, 2 weeks) Yup!

It's a crime what these opticians charge. Highly recommended. Here's their site: http://tiny.cc/here288

How do they work? I see perfectly, the Rx was perfect, the workmanship flawless. They have glasses starting at just $8 for you real tight people Smile I won't buy from a local optician again!

I think I may try this next. Last year we ordered from SEars Optical. The first glasses, both my DH's and mine did not have the bifocal in them. So they reordered. Got the second set. They just didn't seem right. So we went back to our doctor who checked them. They had my right lens prescription in DH's glasses and his right lens prescription in my right lens. Grrr. So back they went for the third try. This time, DH's were correct. . . mine still didn't seem right. So I had them checked again. . . not only was the prescription off by a LOT, but they had put a prism in my right lens which was NOT prescribed. So, I got my money back and went elsewhere, where it was done correctly in 3 days.

My problem with glasses is fit. I think it would be even harder with mailorder.
