I have to post a HUGE thank you to both the Escapees for providing this wonderful forum and the moderators for the wonderful job they do.

A specific incident prompted this....two years ago when I was first looking to move into RVing I became active in probably half a dozen RVing forums (no names mentioned). Most provided some information that was helpful, some turned out to be mostly social and some were brand specific (and eventually weeded out on that alone).

One I really enjoyed suddenly started censoring our posts...we could no longer link to outside links to other forums, commercial sites or even our own sites - this was even if we were answering a question in a post. I finally gave up and left the forum, asking that my ID be deleted and all my posts as well.

Recently a blog reader asked me to come back...so I tried. I made the mistake of pointing to one of my blog entries in response to a thread on a particular topic. It was edited out and I was issued a warning. In addition, in a thread ASKING for links to our blogs, mine was taken out. I'm sorry, I don't see my blog as a commercial site..yes I have Google ads but so do many other blogs.

Anyway...I TRULY appreciate the freedom we have here to share ourselves, our thoughts and links to outside and even competing sites. THANK YOU ESCAPEES for all that you do...once again, you come out on the top of my list. I'm proud to be a lifetime member!

Donna, I'm with you! Even though I no longer RV, do not own an RV, and probably never will again, the SKP forum has been such a huge part of my life for the last ten or twelve years (does anyone know what year Escapees actually started the forum? I only remember that there were so few of us that we all used our own names!) that it'd be like divorcing my family if I were to 'leave' the SKP forum!

So... here's another great big SKP HUG to Escapees for providing this forum for all of us to share! And, more of those HUGS for my dear SKP friends!
