I just went to the Web mail. It says it's only up for a short time.. being redone, should be done by the end of January.
Is it done? |

Oldman: as you may or may not know, SKPs discontinued offering email services late last year while those with SKP email addresses are being allowed to continue. In connection with that decision, web access to the mail server was discontinued to all. Late Dec or early January, some were having trouble with their POP email due to filter or other settings that were on their account and so SKPs graciously reopened the webmail site for the month of January so all current users can access their settings and delete filters etc that might interfere with their continued long term POP usage. I would expect that since we are now in Feb., the webmail site will be shut down soon and existing account settings will be frozen.

"In the next few weeks, we will be redesigning this page for filter configuration, etc. We should be done by the end of January."
What does this mean? |

SOP (standard operating procedure) for anything related to computer upgrades is that they will take longer than anticipated.

As you all know, Escapees RV Club is not opening any new email accounts; however, the existing accounts are lifetime accounts.
The IT department reopened the webmail site because of all the problems that members were having due to their address books, etc. The department is working diligently on the filter configuration but it has taken a backseat to other priorities. I will try to give everyone a heads up when it closes. Kellie |

Ohhh, "other priorities" that brings cold chills to my spine when I recall all the things we used that phrase to cover when I was doing government contracting.
Hopefully all will survive and not have ripped out all their hair dealing with the innocuous sounding "other priorities" that have come up. :-) Meanwhile the POP and SMTP service is working wonderful as is the access on port 587 to bypass spam blocking so folks can get their mail direct to their PCs or use other webmail systems to access it.
