The search indexes don't update very quickly when the Infopop system (not just the tiny portion that is the Escapees forum) is being heavily used, there is no promise that a recent post will show up in a search at any specific time. Escapees started both the forums and the e-mail system a long while back, when they picked products they took top of the line packages for both functions. Sadly over the years both Ipswitch (e-mail) and Infopop (forum) packages fell behind others in their fields. It seems as if both of them also decided rather than making the software better they would work to make it nearly impossible for current customers to move on to other better products. At least the mail software runs on a computer Escapees controls, the Infopop stuff runs on a server registered to the .cc (Caymen Islands?) somewhere on the net. The Escapee computer crew has looked at lots of options for switching systems and hasn't found anything that wouldn't require starting over from scratch.

Somewhere there is a forum about the infopop forum software, a couple minutes in google turned up way too many hits from infopop hosted forums for me to keep looking for it though. It had some good discussions of how the system was supposed to work and how it was actually doing if you care to dig it out and pursue it. Since we as users and even the forum admin can do little about these issues other than the admin opening a trouble ticket it really isn't worth pursuing other than for academic interest. But it would answer your questions.
