Don't feel bad, neither do the folks that wrote the forum software, I think they just used the definition for random and added it to the bug list. It sure doesn't seem to work and I try to remember to tell folks not to use it when I suggest a search.
Getting it switched as the default would be a big plus.
There is no forum staff presence nights or weekends. Someone will be along Monday once they get finished with reading their e-mails and deleting forum spam.
Mark or Kellie might be willing to do some overtime but so far nobody has stepped up with an offer to pay them to be here 24x7.
OK! OK! OK! Call it failure to respond! Just kidding! Sorry guys, I did not mean to make you wait until today for an answer. I wrote up a reply Monday afternoon but I must have closed it out instead of posting. Go figure!
The default was chosen to keep all related topics together. The detailed information in each topic are grouped with all the associated posts indented underneath. However, you can use the advanced search by date but not as a default. I would have to change that option; however, that would change throughout the whole forum.
Not sure what that means. My request was that when you pull up the Advanced Search page, the default would be Date. A simple change to a default radio button causes forum-wide changes?

Kellie, If the related function worked well I'd say leave it alone but the results from using it are so bad I have learned to tell anyone I send off searching here to switch to date order. something is very broken in the related option, Mark was mentioning issues with it a while back too.
I am not ignoring you, believe me! I'm not dead, and I am not on life support; I am still kickin'. BTW, I sent you a private message on the 12th of February. Apparently, you must not have received it or maybe ignored it.
I have switched the setting but it is not working. All I can say is that it is a glitch in ,as Mark calls it, Infopoop's program.
The Escapees Discussion forum has moved to a new home! Please use www.rvnetwork.com to access the new forum, or click on the Discussion Forum link on any Escapees.com webpage header. Thanks!
All user accounts have been moved to the new board, but each user will need to go through the lost password process to re-activate their username. You will have to click on “login” and then on “Lost Password”. Enter either your forum login name or your forum email address. The forum will email you password recovery instructions. Follow these to get a temporary password, then log in and change your password to whatever you like on your profile page.
Once you are able to log in, you should find that all the current topics are where they belong, and you can begin learning about some of the new board's features. If you have questions, post them in the "Learning the new forum" area and we'll do our best to help. The new board is very similar in functionality to the old one, but some things will seem quite different at first. There is a pretty good help function on the new board. Just click on "Help" in the upper right corner of the page header.
In most cases, the best way to learn the new board is to experiment! If you are not sure what something does, click on it! You'll notice that we have created a test area where you can post tests to your heart's content. We have also created a “Learning the new forum” area so that users can assist each other in learning the new board.
All users will need to set up their avatars again. For those users that we host, there is an avatar set called “Old forum user avatars” that contains all of the custom avatars currently hosted by us. Just browse through it until you find your own picture, and select it. (Please don't select someone else's picture just to be cute!)
If your avatar is currently hosted somewhere else, you will need to have that URL available in order to set up your avatar on the new board. If you prefer to use a stock avatar, we have a large assortment of new avatars you can choose from in the avatar Base Gallery.
The old forum remains available for login. Even though there are no active or visible forums here, you can still log in and access your profile pages to recover any info you need. This old board will shut down permanently at the end of September.
