I subscribe to the Daily Digest on a lot of threads. Over the last few days I have received my digest (with some of my threads included) but a current thread I have a posting on has had responses but they are not coming through in the Digest. I AM set-up for BOTH individual and daily digest on this particular thread and am getting the individual notifications. Does the "individual" notification override the "daily" digest? I don't remember having that happen before. Is there a limit on how many threads can be followed? Guess I "could" go in and clean-up old topics. Wink

Hmmmmmm! Good question!

I will test the email digest to see, and will get back to you.

Hugs,
Kellie

Kellie, I've gone in and reviewed the "Notifications" help file, deleted many old threads, and checked today's Daily Digest. It appears that when you have both "immediate" and "daily" message notifications checked marked (both are allowed simultaneously), the "immediate" notification gets sent and that message does NOT then come through on the daily digest. I'll continue to test by putting THIS thread on both types of notification. This message, when I send it, should arrive directly in my email box. We'll see if it shows up tomorrow in the digest.

BTW, there IS a limit of 30 threads in the Favorites monitoring. I don't use this, but did want to note the limit for others who might be reading this discussion.

EDIT UPDATE: This message DID come through on the DAILY DIGEST Thursday morning but I did NOT get it as an individual IMMEDIATE email notification. Oh, well... my life does not have to be IMMEDIATE -- I am retired now! Big Grin

Good Morning Judy,

I have been testing the email digest for a few days now and all looks good on my end. I did find that the immediate notifications do not come through on the daily email digest, too. Hmmmm! When Mark is visible again, I will have to corner him and ask. Wink

Thanks Judy!

Hugs,
Kellie

Thanks for monitoring it. I've quit asking for both "immediate" and "daily" digest responses. I have "enough" things to read. Wink

I'm with ya, sonomalake. I was unfortunate enough to be behind (pun intended) him on stage and it wasn't pretty!

Mark is probably related to Bert on the TV series Soap (circa 1977-1981). Remember the crossed arms, uncrossing them and snapping the fingers and he was invisible. Big Grin Big Grin That's our Mark

The Escapees Discussion forum has moved to a new home! Please use www.rvnetwork.com to access the new forum, or click on the Discussion Forum link on any Escapees.com webpage header. Thanks!

All user accounts have been moved to the new board, but each user will need to go through the lost password process to re-activate their username. You will have to click on “login” and then on “Lost Password”. Enter either your forum login name or your forum email address. The forum will email you password recovery instructions. Follow these to get a temporary password, then log in and change your password to whatever you like on your profile page.

Once you are able to log in, you should find that all the current topics are where they belong, and you can begin learning about some of the new board's features. If you have questions, post them in the "Learning the new forum" area and we'll do our best to help. The new board is very similar in functionality to the old one, but some things will seem quite different at first. There is a pretty good help function on the new board. Just click on "Help" in the upper right corner of the page header.

In most cases, the best way to learn the new board is to experiment! If you are not sure what something does, click on it! You'll notice that we have created a test area where you can post tests to your heart's content. We have also created a “Learning the new forum” area so that users can assist each other in learning the new board.

All users will need to set up their avatars again. For those users that we host, there is an avatar set called “Old forum user avatars” that contains all of the custom avatars currently hosted by us. Just browse through it until you find your own picture, and select it. (Please don't select someone else's picture just to be cute!)

If your avatar is currently hosted somewhere else, you will need to have that URL available in order to set up your avatar on the new board. If you prefer to use a stock avatar, we have a large assortment of new avatars you can choose from in the avatar Base Gallery.

The old forum remains available for login. Even though there are no active or visible forums here, you can still log in and access your profile pages to recover any info you need. This old board will shut down permanently at the end of September.
