Hi Jon,

Many thanks for being our "Keeper". It's easy to forget that you provide continuing service to our community. Shame on any of us that do.

I came across some nice HDT filter cross reference information (by brand) from Amsoil.

The direct Amsoil links are:
http://www.amsoil.com/lit/g3000/sections/HDLubeFilterCrossRef.pdf
http://www.amsoil.com/lit/g3000/sections/HDAirFilterCrossRef.pdf

I consolidated the two files into one pdf document and added attributions to Amsoil with this:

HDT Filter Cross Reference from Amsoil

FYI, the consolidated reference will be available through the above URL for many years (and I am a lifetime Escapees member).

Hello Jon,

Please add Kohler's Garage, the small family business that did the conversion on my T2000.

The work was rather extensive, since it required the complete removal of the KW Air-Glyde 200 suspension and DS-404 axle set, the installation of an RS-404 axle and Air-Liner suspension from a Freightliner, and the installation of one of Henry Szmyt's ET Air Hitches. They did an excellent job.

Their contact information is as follows:

Kohler's Garage
3139 US Highway 24
Beloit, KS 67420
(785) 738-2140 Phone
(785) 738-3487 Fax
kohlers_garage@ncknc.com (E-mail)

The gentleman that I worked with was Joe Kohler. Please note in their listing that this is a small, family owned and run business. Joe, his son, and his brother do all of the shop work. For that reason, they are very busy during planting and harvest seasons, since most of their customers are farmers. At those busy times they wouldn't be able to take on conversion work, but they would be happy to work on them outside of those times.

Thanks!

Thanks Phil, I'll add the info to the RG.

BTW, do they have a Web Site?

If so, post the URL and I'll add it to the RG.......

Jon,

No, they have no web site. Their internet "savvy" only extends as far as having an email addy, and as far as we can tell it doesn't even work. My wife has been trying to email them pics of the work that they did for us for almost a week now. But thanks for adding them to the RG. They did a great job for us.

FWIW on Kohler's Garage:

I was there for a visit while they were installing Henry's hitch into Phil's truck. All in all a good visit.

This was their first toter and they enjoyed doing it. As long as their primary customers are not affected would love to do more.

Looking at some of the more complex things they do with farm vehicles, I have no problem endorsing them to do toter work.

Ask to speak with Kent Kilcoin their service advisor.

Ron said he was very satisfied with their service even though their hourly rate was a little on the
high side "$102 per hour" but that they seem to get trucks in and out quite fast.

Just a comment on this.
1. Kent Kilcoin died, so I met Gary LaLoggia a Service rep. He was great,He is aware of fulltimes using HDT. He was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure I was treated fairly. He looked up warranty and service bulletins and took care of them quickly and efficiently. He took care of me as fast as he did the truckers who were on the clock and in a hurry to get back on the road. He reminded me a lot of Ken Doomn in Whichita.

Wil-Ro in Galatin, TN makes EXCELLENT hauler beds and truck conversion. Neely Coble Freightliner in Nashville has a good repair shop and usually a fast turnaround time.

We had great sales and service when we bought our Volvo from M & K Truck sales in Grand Rapids (Byron Center) Michigan.

Rick (PSD Tweaker) found the truck and arranged our visit and insp.

The salesman Bill Vanegmond was upfront and easy to work with, answered all calls and emails quickly and handled all details great. I would go there again.
