Been here at Twiltley Branch COE campground at Okatibbee Lake in central Mississippi for a week. Lots to see within a few miles. Pretty good fishing too.

After 2 weeks along the Pomme de Terre River just below the PdT Dam visiting family & helping Dave's dad with house projects, we have moved a whopping 120 miles or so to Jefferson City (along the Osage River, about 10 miles east of Jeff City).

Will be here through June 15 -- oldest daughter coming for the weekend to visit & pick up her computer (that Dave gets the pleasure of cleaning up everytime we come through MO).

Exciting times in MO...we've hunkered down through a number of tornado warnings (even got to spend part of one night huddled in a showerhouse with other campers when one was spotted within 5 miles) and LOTS & LOTS of rain. Apparently the wettest spring ever, from what we're hearing.

After this, it's not hard to remember just WHY we moved from the midwest to the southwest...

Will head towards Gillette when we leave here.

Spokane Washington...We left Phoenix AZ. the first day it was to reach triple digit temps. We took a month to get to Washington. Left the rig in Grand Junction at my uncles horse ranch, and we spent a week in Denver at the office. Then through Idaho, Montana and back through the top of Idaho into Spokane. We are sitting on a horse ranch. Where we will be for the summer. 6 horses and lots of beautiful area to ride. Free hook ups for riding and helping out around the ranch...not a hardship.

We are in Moab Ut where we arrived by mistake. Missed a turn in Dove Creek Co and decided to go on to Moab and forego Grand Junction Co this trip. Pretty warm here and the ATV trails are not readily accessable unless you have a separate ATV trailer. So, we are probably going to leave here tomorrow and head to Marysvale Ut area where it is higher, cooler and ATV friendly

I am not sure that is how I meant to go, but I think that I am where I meant to be.

We're in Gillette at Escapade (Box Elder, D-86). Have met a number of new folks during the Devils Tower/Coal Mine tour yesterday, and motorcycle ride today (another one tomorrow). It's a busy place!

We know HDTers topfuel, Ron Curry & crewcab96 are here; anybody else?

Donna and I are leaving next week for our 2008 tour.

We will be on the road until late August.
Our first part will be a quick trip into the Kootenays of BC. Meet up with family members that drive "coaches" and travel together for several days in the area. My cousin from England will be joining us. Not sure how they will react to all of our large units.

Then we really start our trip. For the past many years, gawd, its more than 20 we will be travelling to see a number of Drum Corps Shows and the finals in Bloomington IN.

We will travel east on US #2 into Michigan. As we do not know the area at all we have no specific destinations in mind other than taking two weeks to see our first DCI show in Michigan City.

Then we will spend a week at the DCI finals. We have two kids that are marching with the Santa Clara Vanguard organization.

We then have a three day drive to the Grand Teton RV park and a few days in Yellowstone. Another couple of days drive to my wifes favourite campground, Crown Villa in Bend OR. She keeps talking something about "Outlet Stores." Do they have tools in those places?

Then off to Penticton BC, to spectate our daughter and son-in-law in the Canadain Ironman competition.

According to my planner we should come in about 6,500 miles.

We are pumped and excited and will check into the forum as opportunites present themselves.

Most importantly, we are both looking forward to chasing our kids around the country to be a part of their summer of 2008.

So, friends, our dream is alive and well.
We are having fun.

Well,,, I've been remiss in reporting our venue changes, so will catch up (in short-version only).

After "aborting" our normal spring-training plans in PHX, we spent Mar thru May near Birmingham (Hoover RV Park) for a work project there.

Visited David K., Christina & Travis twice -- they came up once, we stopped by for a weekend with them as we were leaving Alabama.

Have since traveled thru Atlanta (Fannie's former sister-in-law), Savannah (Don's niece, Michele), Charleston, SC (Fannie's cousin & Don's niece, Toni), then NYC for son Jay, before visiting 5 days with Henry & Davena, Mark & Diane in New Hampshire.

We're now (finally) in northern Ohio to visit Don's family (3 sisters & Mom in assisted living home)-- taking care of some family business for Mom, and visiting thru the holiday; our youngest son, Derek, will travel from Chicago to visit us with Mom in Toledo.

After that, we need RV work done in Kansas (Horizons has some warranty work to finish), then onward to visit friends in OK and (maybe?) Jack & Danielle on our way back to PHX.

We've started to take things abit slower, now; so we're not so bedraggled at every stop... BUT, gotta be home by end of July, to "visit" the house and prepare for McCloud (CA, square dance week), then October rallies in Kansas & Texas.

Cheers, from the road,
Don

We had a wonderful four days in the Medford, Oregon, area with our son and daughter-in-law. They followed us up from Vacaville, California, on their motorcycles. We went on the jet boat excursion in Grants Pass which was awesome. Also went to the Oregon Vortex and down to Ashland for lunch. All this on our motorcycles through the beautiful Oregon countryside.

Scott and Barb Nolan and Mike and Nancy Barr were at the same campground with us in Medford so after our son and his wife left, we caravanned out to the West Coast RV Rally with them.

We left that group on Monday and went our own way and are currently on Netarts Bay in the Tillamook, Oregon, area. It is beautiful here. The dog and I (Sue) enjoyed a long run on the beach yesterday. Today is a little cool but we are spending any extra time in the house trying to learn our new "Apple" computers.

On to Hoodsport, Washington, on Monday. We will be there for 14 days.

We have settled for a month in Hayward, WI...beautiful northwoods and lake country. Mark's cousin and her husband live on the old family farm owned at one time by their grandfather. They raise Arabian horses, outstanding! We are conveniently parked right next to the horse barn.

We will be here for three more weeks, then it is off to the Black Hills in South Dakota. Hope everyone had a terrific Independence Day!
