We're in it right now - Whispering Pines, Mara, British Columbia. Big towering old firs and spruces surrounding a common area with a firepit in the middle. Community bonfires every night in the summer. The trees are so high we had to change sites so that our internet satellite dish would work.

There's another picture from the same park in the Class of 2007 follow along with us thread.

Whatever. Kids are OK as long as they mind their own business and go to bed at a decent hour. IOW kids are OK as long as their parents are too.

It can be a lot of fun being a surrogate grandpa to a kid who is going camping for the first time. Helping him light a fire, roast a marshmallow or teaching him about banana boats & bush pies. And just like grandkids, at the end of the evening you can send him home to mama and papa all sugared up while you go home to bed.
