According to the Montana Standard newspaper(Butte) Montana Dept of Fish, Wildlife and Parks is looking for a host at Bannack State Park approx 25 miles from Dillon. Also the Forest service is needing hosts at Beaver Dam CG west of Butte and Lost Creek near Anaconda. Go to www.mtstandard.com Go to archives and type in campground host. There are several articles there.

bobsallyh,I went to the website that you had in your post about the campground host and came up empty handed. Do you know why by any chance.

Being it was the local daily newspaper, and back in June, I doubt it would be any longer active. It could well be in archives, of course dailys like to charge for archives access. It was an article written by a reporter for the paper. You could now try the forest service web site and Montana Dept of Fish, Wildlife and Parks. I would imagine they are working on next years list of hosts. It is getting chilly in some Montana locations now.

We hosted at Missouri Headwaters SP close to Three Forks & Bozeman this year and are going back next year. It's about 45 miles from Butte, really beautiful area. I just looked up Montana State Parks and found the website, downloaded the application and sent it in. I would definitely recommend the area and the parks.
