OK. Here is a direct link to the T-shirt.

I am sorry, but I am not impressed. Personally, I would love to get a T-shirt memorializing my trip to Gillette, WY for the Escapees 30th Birthday bash. But somehow a colored shirt with an Escapees emblem just does not do the job.

I am sure that is just me.

Art, I'm not sure if you caught it, but there is a link that enlarges the logo (just above the price). It is not the "standard" SKP logo, but the Gillette 30th anniversary logo.

Hi:

Great news!

Event Shirts for Escapade Gillette 2008 and the 30th Birthday Bash are now available for ordering. Go to the Escapade web page www.escapees.com/escapade and click on the link on the left side for Escapade Shirts. The link will open a new page for the store that is selling our shirts, Sports Image Apparel of Indiana. You can order your shirts on line and pay with a credit card (visa, master card or discover) or you can print the order form and mail it with a check. You may request to have your shirts delivered to Gillette and Escapade will pay the shipping. It may look like it is charging you shipping, but it will be deducted before your credit card is charged. You may also request to have them shipped to the address of your choice and pay the shipping charges yourself.

CHECK OUT THE CHOICES! You can select a variety of colors and sizes with the Escapade 2008 and 30th Birthday logo. The golf shirts are available with or without pocket and in a ladies style, in 3 color choices and 6 sizes. Denim shirts come in short or long sleeve with a mens and ladies version in 6 sizes. Tee shirts are available in 4 colors and 6 sizes with an embroidered logo. There are also shirts available with the Escapade Logo on them in a variety of colors and sizes. Select exactly what you want and it will be custom prepared for you and delivered to Escapade in Gillette, Wyoming in your name. Order by June 1, 2008 and then pick them up at the Escapade Shirt booth.

Hi Bill,
We ordered our shirts on 5/28 but have yet to receive any confirmation (email) or a order number, is this normal? Same with the shipping charges supposedly being removed and no way to confirm? Just seems this could have been done a little clearer. When can we pick them up at the Escapade? We will be coming in on the 25th.

This is our first Escapade and looking forward to it!

I had the same problem...at least I had saved the purchase page as a PDF file. I contacted the company and they told me they did have my order and I could pick up the shirts at the Escapade. Like you, I fully expected at least an email confirmation of the order for my records.

Keep that page when you check you credit card bill you will have a charge on it that you have no idea what it is for. I checked my statement and the Co was not anything that I had ever heard of. It isn't Escapees. I had to email them to find out that it was for the shirts.

Hi:

Well, my first comment is ain't the Internet grand!

This morning I was balancing the credit card statement. I had a ten minute discussion with my wife about "what did she buy" from some company in Utah that neither of us could identify. We eventually decided it was something that I had ordered for the Motor Home from a company who's name had no resemblance to the billing company. Duh!

A few of our members have disputed charges on their credit card only to find out it was for the shirt they had ordered. The good news is over 400 people have figured out how to order shirts and those that had them sent home are very pleased with the shirts. The rest of the story is that we have been able to offer a variety of styles, colors and sizes and everybody will get just what they want.... if they order ahead.

When you click on the shirt link at Escapees.com/escapade, you transfer to the website for Sports Image of Indiana... our shirt provider. They make the shirts for Good Sam's The Rally, Freightliner Haulers Club, and most of the RV Owners Clubs. They know what they are doing and the know the RV "market". They tell me they process your credit card manually a day or two after you order and delete the charges for shipping if you selected deliver to Gillette. I don't think they send out a follow-up. We tried to explain all this, but you only get so much room in the magazine, website and e-news from the editors. There's another good reason for doing it this way that I would explain to you in person but not here. See me at Escapade.

We are saving the shipping charges to Gillette because Stan and Betty Bober, the good folks of Chapter 51 and the Tri-State Rally agreed to bring the shirts with them. (Hope the Rambling Roses saved some room on the back seat of that "big" truck!) Sports Image of Indiana is going to deliver the shirts to their rally next week. We all owe Chapter 51 and the folks at the Tri-state rally a big thanks.

You must have missed the announcement on our website that May 20 was the deadline to order for delivery to Gillette..... you and about 30 other people. Sports Image has assured me they will get those orders to the Tri-state event, but this is really the LAST CALL for shirt orders to be delivered to Gillette. You can order them after Escapade, but you have to have them shipped to you.

Picking up shirts at Escapade. Escapade starts on June 29th. The volunteers that work in the shirt booth arrive on June 26th and need time to get organized. The volunteers bringing the shirts may not arrive until June 29th. Shirts will be available at the shirt booth in the main Exhibit Hall at the south end of East Pavilion starting Sunday May 29th. You will be asked to sign the order for the shirts you receive.

We got samples of all the shirts and hats and they are terrific.

See you in Gillette.

skp Hugs

bill (& Jeanette)

Hi Bill, thanks for the response. Yes, I am sure "Sport Image of Indiana" knows what they are doing and the shirts will be great, but my comment was simple that they could/SHOULD add a Confirmation Page and/or send Confirmation Emails to complete orders. This would cause less confusion/concern.

Thanks Stan and Betty for saving us on shipping charges!

No, we didn't notice it on the website as we are mostly in the forum pages. We are full-timers and normally only receive our forwarded mail twice a month. When we saw the May 20th date in the magazine, it was May 21st and thought we were too late. Then on the 28th we decided we may order them anyway (shipping them to us) but noticed "June 1st" was the deadline (delivery to Gillette), according to the shirt page. We were very surprised/happy and ordered right away.

Looking forward to seeing them and everyone at the Escapade!
