Hey Everyone,

I have had a couple of suggestions thrown at me over the weekend.

• First, is to tell you that if you were at the Gillette Escapade-thank you! It was a fantastic event.
  
  
• Second, is to mention that the 2009 Escapade will be in Sedalia, Missouri from May 24-29.
  

I definitely am going to do my best to make it to Sedalia. Yeehaw!!

I plan to be there as well. My very first Escapade (I'm a new member as of Feb) and I'm so excited that I will just happen to be in the "neighborhood" and can make this one. I'm hoping to volunteer to help as I will be hanging around the whole month of May waiting for the Escapade to begin. Can anyone steer me to who I need to talk to to offer to help?

Kellie, does anyone know how many states and countries were represented in Gillette? That's a detail I'm always curious about.

We are planning on going to the 2009 Escapde.
Will there be an RV Boot Camp before the rally again? Sure hope so!
DH has been talking about attending one.

Whew! A load of questions......

Gypsy Girl-I am ecstatic that you are going to be there next year. Awesome!!!!! Everyone is slowly trickling back here to National. Give me a few weeks so that everyone is settled back in the office (Angie and Greg drove their rig to WY and went for a long sight-seeing adventure afterwards, and Mark is doing the same). I promise I will get back to you.

paintcan-(love that name!!) I have no idea; however, I will try to email the Fisher's, or some of the others to ask. In fact, I have it down on my daily task list. Hmmmm........email directors to ask about volunteering, ask how many states and countries were represented at Gillette.......the list is getting long. paintcan, I promise I will get back to you, too.

The Lavins-Considering how well everything turned out this year with Boot Camp and the HOP PreEvents, I would say "Yes". However, do not take that answer as a definite one. I can be wrong you know!

Dave in MN-Oh my gosh!! Your post came in at 2:30 AM and it is now 7:50 AM. Geez, man, you are really trying to test me, aren't you? Actually, that is a good question. I will promise to get back to you on that one, too.

OK, my brain is already twirling. Thanks guys! Well, I am moving on in the forum because my task list is getting quite full just from this one thread.

Thanks, Kellie, we are kinda overwhelming you. See how excited we are about the next Escapade? To answer Dave's question (the answer is in the latest Escapees magazine) it will be held at the Missouri State Fair grounds in Sedalia.

Greetings All,

We too are excited about Escapade 2009. What will be really nice -- as was in Gillette -- are FHUs for all who want them. Only goes to show, that Escapees management listens -- we wanted FHUs and we are getting them. Also, there were many more seminars on travel destinations and hobbies, and they had a daily "newspaper" called !Escapade Extras! that reported changes and reminders of events.

The advance registration form for Escapade 2009 that was on the back of the last !Escapade Extras! listed dates for HOPs and pre-events (both TBA) and Boot Camp. Early-bird parking and extended post-stay will also be available. How great is that!!!! Details will be in the November/December issue of the Escapees magazine, but just knowing that we "must be in central Missouri" the last half of May is enough for me to start planning our routing.

Thanks to all the Escapade Staff for the time and energy they expended on making Escapade 2008 a great experience with loads of new events.
