This has been the most comfortable & fun truck I have ever driven to pull heavy trailer with. I am only selling because I want to switch to a motor home instead of my horse trailer with living quarters. This is a 1998 Volvo that IS registered as an RV. My insurance on this rig is $165 every 6 months. Arkansas license plate cost $30, same as a car. This truck has the "super 10" transmission. I never drove a big truck before so it took me about 3 days of practice to get good at shifting it. I have only had a few pickups in my life that were manuel shift & I hated them. Don't know how to explain it but shifting this truck will make you grin real big! My 5' tall beautiful wife can even drive this truck. It has the cummins N-14 engine that is set at 470 HP & 1550 lbs. torque. It has 3.73 rear ratio & a 202" wheelbase. Overall length is 26'. It is a single rear axle & has a very nice Herrin built bed on it that is 11' long. This bed would cost $15,000 to build. It has a Trailer Saver air ride 5th wheel hitch that I took off since I use a goosneck ball for my Horse trailer. There is about 4.5' from the center of hitch in bed to back of cab so a motorcycle or 4 wheeler would fit between cab & trailer easily. I removed the factory sleeper bunk & installed a 76" long jacknife leather sofa with 3 seatbelts.
I installed a 110 volt ac/heat pump unit on back of cab that will heat or cool this truck very well. There is a 2,000 watt inverter also that will run this ac unit going down the road if the truck ac unit ever quit. This unit pulls about 7 amps of power if pluged into shore power. Front tires have about 30k miles on them & rear tires have only 5k on them. Has 12 disc CD player & nice stero with am/fm & CB too. Has Brakesmart trailer brake controller that is the best I have ever used. This truck has only 490k miles on it which is very low for a 1998 truck. The reason for this is the truck was put into "RV" service in 2003. The engine does not use any oil & runs perfectly.
