Jim,
Thanks for the pictures. I was not clear on my price question. Is the 39,000 the new, lower price? I am not interested in the cost new.
Thanks
JB

$39K is the reduced price. I paid more than that plus put thousands into it. I've only driven the truck 8000 miles since buying.

Can't believe this fantastic rig hasn't sold ??? Here is a bump to the top. Good luck !! Someone is missing a GREAT deal.

I am not in any way connected to this unit. I own a HDT and know what a great deal this is !!!

I know I have seen the HDT and was impressed with it. Jim being military had everything spit shined. I know he has done quiet a bit to it. Whoever gets it will get a great package.
Have a great week.

I don't think the trailer has sold yet. It would make a great package deal as stated by Horsecampers. Gunship guy will be back on to answer any questions for u.

Thanks for all the positive comments on my truck. I believe it's a great deal for someone too. I just drove it from VA to FL and it was such an enjoyable trip. The truck just purs along.

I won't have a problem selling the truck once the trailer sells. I've turned away a half dozen or so potential buyers because I can't part with the truck until the trailer finds a new home. I've even told my wife I may keep the truck anyway just to drive around for fun.

Claude, the reduced price on the trailer is $59,900. It's located at Langley AFB, VA. A properly equipped 1 ton (such as a Ford with the Tow Boss package) would safely pull it. You'd be maxing out a typical 1 ton. I like a large safety margin hence the reason for going with an HDT. An HDT is overkill but really sweet overkill nonetheless.

I'm moving it back home to FL in May. I'd deliver it for free if the buyer lives between VA and FL.

Both truck and trailer are ready to travel and need no pricy modifications. I've already paid for those. I keep reading posts where guys mention the unknowns of buying a used truck and the worry of getting boned by a hidden expensive repair. You won't have to deal with that with me. Our truck and trailer were purchased and set up for many years of family camping. But Uncle Sam saw fit to change those plans and we haven't done any family camping in 2 years. It doesn't look like that will change any time soon either.

The trailer has barely seen any road time. It hasn't banged around the country. It has been sitting in one spot for the past 2 years. It looks brand new and everything works. It needs nothing. Even though I now have about 9000 miles on the truck a lot of those miles have been without the trailer in tow.

Just outta curiosity,...

You said a 1 ton "might" be able to handle the trailer but I couldn't find a weight for it even on their website.

Do you know aprox weights for the trailer? Pin weight, emnpty weight, GVW?

Might depend upon the 1 ton (and the year).

Thanks, & good luck. It really does look like a nice rig.

GVW is 18,500
I took the trailer to a CAT scale right after buying it and it seems the empty weight was over 16,000 and pin weight was around 4,000.

I can see why you decided to tow the trailer with a heavier truck. 18,500# is a lot of trailer for a 1 ton truck, no matter the name brand.

Some might do it, but I tend to think you made a wise decision.

:-)

I could sell my truck tomorrow if someone would buy my Mobile Suites...which is in excellent condition. Help your fellow Escapees.com'ers become the proud owners of a shiny Volvo by buying my trailer first. Smile The new owners of either will be very happy campers.

The trailer is also advertised on rvsearch.com with 12 pics. The price is slightly below NADA and well below what I've seen others asking for the same year and model trailer. Yes, we are taking a loss but I can live with that if it can be used by someone rather than it sitting unused in my driveway.
