I am so excited! We have been planning to fulltime for several years now. We are 49 and 46 years young. We both feel blessed to be able to transition to this lifestyle so young. We start our new job with training in California in January. We will only have to work for 3 months out of every year - the rest of the year is ours to travel as we please. Pinch me quick so I know that it's real. The best part is our new job takes us to Alaska in June, July and August.
Let us know who will be joining us in 2005. We hope to see a lot of you in person real soon.

Good for you! We have been fulltiming for almost 6 years now, we started when we were both 45, and have never looked back! We earn our living on the road, have no retirement income, and we could not be happier. Enjoy every day, it's an adventure!

tjwords, we'll be joining your ranks in 2005 also. We thought we would have to work another 5 years, but circumstances have offered us the opportunity to do it next summer. Wow, the thought that it is just around the corner. There's a lot to do between now and then, and we can't wait. We'll stick around the central California coast for a while due to a new granddaughter arriving, then head for the wide open spaces!

We too will be in the Class of 05! Hoped for 04, but the farm and some of the horses still have not sold. Decided to try and get out of here by April 05, if things go smoothly. Have taken the farm "off the market" till after the first of the year, then going to go with another realtor, so hopefully it will sell. Although, a guy from California called the realtor we "had" and said they would be here the first two weeks of January and they would be buying the place. We'll see! I just keeping working everyday, doing something towards packing the motorhome and getting ready for our personal property sale after we get a contract...so things "may" go smoothly at that point! At least I'm not rushed...YET, that is! April will be here before we know it though. Big Grin Safe travels everyone, Anne G.

Wow! There sure seems to be a lot of us for 2005. How many of you will be working at least part-time to support your new life-style? What types of jobs have you already lined up?

Anyone interested in helping to form an organized group from the responses we get here?

We could eventually meet in person at Quartzite in 2006 for our mutual first year anniversary.

What do you all think?

Wooohooo for us!!!!

01 June 05, wife will have worked her last day and we're outta here.

No working, part or full-time, unless she decides to take some/any/a consult gig(s)...that decision is still in the future.

As to Q, well...I don't believe I ever care to plan that far in advance, ever again! Big Grin
