Well this is as good a time as any to say hello.

The wife and I will be picking our new 5th up on Saturday and the house is up for sale.

We will be transitioning to a modified fulltime status as I plan on working for about one more year. We couldn't wait until I retire to make the change, so hopefully the house will sell soon.

Hello Steve, Sandy and all you other fine folks.

Well we took the new fiver out for a week. Miraculously every thing worked (Not our normal experience). Gee I wonder if I am the first person to. ummm customise there new trailer on the second trip?? I was so excited when I pulled into Beachwood campground I sort of forgot about that thing behind my truck, and well I introduced the 5r to a metal fence post guarding the entrance to the campground. They didn't seem to like one-anouther and both came away worse for the wear. Frown I told the gate dude I would fix the fence and he said I wasn't the first and probably won't be the last.
Steve/Sandy, I used to have a lot at Lake Tyee way up on the hill also had a lot at Skagit river woods, but that was all years ago. We are just now getting back into the RV life, the house has been on the market for a couple weeks and 8 people have looked at it. No bites yet.

Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone.

Hello:

I'm just into fulltiming, & this my second trip to SW Virginia. I was down here last October, & managed to cost myself & my insurance some bucks - somthing about gas station barriers & leaning poles after dark.

I just left CT - one week after retiring, & going to E. Tennessee next Tuesday.

Still trying to "shrink" myself into the 5r. The house had too much stuff in it - & I didn't want to get rid of enough.

Hello Bill and welcome

Looks like we both had a turn of bad luck. Lets hope our roads will be wider in the future so to speak. Tomorrow we will tow our rig to the CG and we have a bit more stuff to get into storage before the closing on our house.

Bruce

Hi Bruce, I too christened mine in the first week. We were coming back from Fort Worth and found out a friend was in the hospital. We were in the hosp parking lot and I had a tight turn to make. I saw the post, but knew i had to put one of the back wheels over the curb to make the turn. When i felt the bump I thought it was the wheel and the curb. NOT!!!! Mad It was the side of the rv and the post Eek aaarrrrgghhh. Anyway a friend of mine owns a body shop and all of the hurt panels are removable, so I am taking them to him next week for repair. I got lucky (I Guess) Frown Best of luck and welcome to the group. Steve
