When we arrive in a new park we clip the park brochure to a wall near the door so we will always have our location address and phone number easily accessible in case of emergency. We also try to make note of an Urgent Care Facility or Hospital nearby. I just came across this website that may be of assistance in locating nearby hospitals as we travel: http://www.ushospitalfinder.com/
You just put in your zip code and it will list the hospitals near your location.
What a great link! I'll be sure to share it with our readers. It could save a life.

I agree that www.ushospitalfinder.com can be a very helpful link, but the lists are definitely "inclusive"! Do check out the individual listings to see if the services offered by the listed hospitals nearest you are appropriate for your needs *before* you might have to make an emergency visit.
For example, I plugged in a "sample" location and received several "hospital" listings within 30 miles. One of the "hospitals" was a minimum-to-medium-security prison, and the other was a state prison/psychiatric facility.
This is another good reason to have a GPS. Most of them have the ability to locate the nearest hospital and guide you there, regardless of where you are and without consulting any lists. I use ours all the time to find things like stores and fuel, but knowing it is available in an emergency is also reassuring.
