Earlier this week, Microsoft released a patch which resulted in most versions of ZoneAlarm blocking all access to the Internet. I've deleted my original post that was here because the temporary work-around I described is no longer required. The ZoneAlarm folks released fixed versions last night for their fee and free products.

Thanks for that. I had the problem too.

I found a temporary work around.

Launch Zone ALarm and then select the FIREWALL tab. Then set the upper slide bar (Internet zone from MAX to Medium)

Now I'll get the update.
