Vern,
I'd be *somewhat* interested in your Mac Mini too. My wife's old PC has fallen to its knees and must be about to topple over. Smile I was just telling her yesterday that it's time to get a new one. A good used one might work too, if the price is right.

An event is a folder. You move pictures around from event/folder to event/folder

I've had my MacBook pro for about a year. I am so happy with it. Few, if any, security issues and one of the most stable platforms I've ever seen.

I've only had about 2 or 3 times when I had to force close the system.

I do miss my mapping programs and I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has actually used or is using Map Buddy. I know you can run multiple OSs but I simply do not want to run Windows in any configuration.

I really like iPhoto. It does require a learning curve but it is very nice program. I also have discovered Picasa. It is run by the Goggle Company. It is a free online photo storage program. Nice!

Enjoy your new Mac...... I know I am mine! <G>

Route Buddy seems to be a work in progress. If you check the forums on the home page. you'll see answers like:"we intend to cover that problem in the next version."(now.ver 2.1)
Someone wanted to know if Route Buddy was compatible with the Nuvi 750, I contacted Garmin and asked that question from tech support, they said no. I posted this info on the forum only to find my post deleted! Hmmm. I would suggest that you follow the progress of this application for awhile to see how they perform before you buy. I have been following the forums for about three months, not much progress seen.

Thanks for the heads up, seems odd, I did cause a crash yesterday putting on windows to run under Boot Camp, so to use MS Streets and Trips, planned to use it until I get route Buddy. How ever Boot Camp has issues at least for me, I was glad Time Machine worked flawless, restored mac in no time.
I won't try using Boot Camp again.

Again thanks for the info...

I am running Win XP Pro under Boot Camp with no problems. If you were trying to use XP, are you aware that XP and service pack 2 have to be on the SAME disk. Mine were not, so I poked around on the internet and discovered a free program that would 'slipstream' the two together and then I burned it to a DVD. It saved me the cost of another copy of Windows, plus I wanted no part of Vista just to run four or five programs on the Mac (really want no part of Vista, period).

I was tempted to use Parallels but decided that Boot Camp would be more secure and you can't beat the price.

Why not use Garmin's Bobcat for OS X... I've been using that for months now.
