Remember, nobody like a gloater. But secretly, I am jealous. It will be a super machine!

Gratz,

I'm really happy Apple has started to put nice graphics cards in iMacs. That integrated stuff sucked.

How about an update on that new iMac? How has it been now that you've had it 3 weeks or so? Still love it? Ready to order another one?

Yelp it is great, 24" is a little big for my desk I must admit but wouldn't trade it or give it up. Its fast, it's sleek, it's gorgeous. It has cool programs I like, most of them anyway. People on messenger always comment how clear the built in web cam is. I wish the wireless keyboard had a number key pad. I love the dash board thing. iPhoto is great except for the way it store's photo's in events instead of folders, but it edits and enhances photo easy but I think it is great. It boots up really fast, never seen a computer boot that fast.
Apple page has a ton of downloadable software. Ghee don't know what else to say.
The verizon broadband air-cards work really great with it. Dvd's play really great and the sound is awesome.

Misfit:

I have no idea why Apple chose to eliminate the number keypad on the new wireless keyboard and yet have one on the WIRED version! However, the previous model keyboard has one. I have one and much prefer it to the new keyboard. You should be able to find one without too much trouble.

I have a Mac Mini (PPC model) and I just ordered a 20" iMac to replace it. I chose the wireless mouse but opted for the wired keyboard (no charge) and will put it with the Mini to sell as a System. Anyone interested???

I'm interested. Which model do you have? processor? hd? memory?

How much might you want for it?

Joezilla:

The Mac Mini is a 1.25 Ghz PowerPC G4 with 1 gig of ram, 37 gig hard drive,Pioneer SuperDrive DVD RW, Tiger OS, And iLife 06

I also have an OWC external hard drive (225 Gig)that stacks under the Mini, a 15" flat screen digital monitor, a new wired keyboard, and a Kensington wireless mouse.

Are you interested in the System or just the Mini.

Vern, the only bad thing is when I ordered the iMac on the phone the sales lady whom was very nice and helpful forgot to mention I had to have a usb keyboard to install win xp using BootCamp cause it BootCamp, doesn't do wireless on the reboot. I was going to use bootcamp since it came with the mac so I could run MS Streets and trips but have since decide google maps work okay so it isn't an issue. So I am free from Windows now.

If you are thinking about a new Mac, take a look at MacConnection. They are offering rebates from Apple, and a full rebate on Fusion, plus free ground shipping. That is where I got mine a few weeks ago.
