O.K. You all liked my discussion about favorite candy and first job.

Try this one:

I like cereal, but I hate soggy cereal. Just this year I figured out that if I put the sliced banana or fresh blueberries or other fruit in the bowl and then put the cereal on top and then add the milk that the cereal stays crisper longer. Now, I know that won't win the Nobel Peace Prize... Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I like my cereal "softened" so I prefer to put the cereal then the fruit. If the fruit is juicy, it then take less "milk". (I use milk substitutes.) I eat it with turkey bacon along side which provides the crunch the cereal no longer does.

Yup, count me in as a soggy cereal hater (can't force myself to eat it...UGH!) So for the most part I only buy cereals that last long enough to eat. Chex (corn & wheat mixed together) cereals were my favorite but lately I've started getting Grape Nuts. The funny thing about Grape Nuts is that I have to wait to eat it until it softens a little. LOL!!

Oh, and if it's bananas it always goes in first but other fruit I always add on top. Go figure....

Oatmeal is supposed to be soggy... I boil up a big batch and put it in single serving tupperware so I can grab it from the fridge, microwave and eat.

Put cereal in bowl, stir in yogurt, enjoy before it goes soggy. Yum! That's what I ate for dinner tonight.

As for 'life's lessons' that took me a long time to learn: eating cereal and yogurt for dinner, since there's no one to tell me that's not supposed to be a dinner choice!

Cool Lee

It took me 57 years to learn that a life can be dramatically changed in a heartbeat (literally) and that there are precious few, if any, material things that really matter.

That's what I was looking for. The unexpected death of Tim Russert certainly proves that.
